ugh. Billy Joel is the guest on Inside the Actors Studio. Since when does he count as an appropriate guest for the show? Judging by good old "kiss-up Jimmy" James Lipton's reaction you'd think he was the best thing to happen to music in the 20th century. The show is a frickin' two hour special too!
I turn it on and see Billy Joel's the guest and I'm all ready to start gagging and turning the channel and then Mr. Lipton starts talking about how his family escaped from Germany in 1939 and then I feel terrible for making fun of him and start to think about how I'm going straight to hell for being such a mean spirited person, and then they start talking about "Piano Man" and "The Entertainer" and play some excerpts and that's when I just couldn't take it any more.
I'll bet he was just on because Lipton creams his jeans for "We Didn't Start the Fire" and "Uptown Girl."
It's a fact he and Lipton both have places in the Hamptons--I know this because I watched that show "The Hamptons" and they both appeared--I wonder who bought their house first? hmm...
Remember that video for "Keepin' the Faith"? Billy Joel was like on trial for something and he starts singin' and dancin' in front of the judge in his black jeans with white sneakers? heh.
