A survey to start the month snagged from Bunny:
- What facial feature do you find the most attractive on others? Eyes and mouth.
- Would you vote for a woman candidate for president? Why not?
- Would you marry for money? No. I have ...complicated... issues with marriage and I wouldn't want to add all the crap that would go along with marrying for money.
- Have you had braces? No.
- Do you pluck your eyebrows? No! Ouch!
- Do you ever cut or hurt yourself? Yeah, on accident every so often...
- When was the last time you had a hickey? heh. Back in the dark ages... It's surprisingly easier to get one than you'd think... I had one once that I didn't even notice until someone teased me about it. I had a boy who liked to give them like he was marking territory.
- Could you live without a computer? Yeah, I guess. It'd be different.
- Do you use ICQ, AOL Buddy list etc..? I have AIM but I almost never turn it on.
- If so, how many people are on your list(s)? I dunno... a lot?
- If you could live in any past time period, which would it be? Hmm. I like reading about the nineteenth century, but there's the stinky-no-sanitation-no-antibiotics factor... The 20's would be cool because they had jazz and fun clothes and the whole "lost generation" thing but still no antibiotics... I love reading about post-WWII Los Angeles, so I'm going to pick that.
- Do you drink enough water? I try to.
- Do you wear shoes in the house or take them off? I wear slippers. Or flip-flops in the summer.
- What is your favorite fruit? Pineapple! And pears, and crisp apples, and grapes!
- Do you eat wheat bread or white? Wheat.
- What is your favorite place to visit? That I visit regularly or just that I've been to? Regular visits: San Francisco.
- What is the last movie you saw? Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.
- Do you kiss on the first date? It depends.
- Are you photogenic? I don't think so.
- Do you dream in color or black and white? Mostly color.
- Are you wearing fingernail polish? No, I've got red toe nails though!
- Do you have any dimples? No.
- Do you remember being born? Puh-leez!
- Why do you take surveys? Eh. Why not?
- Do you drink alcohol? Yes.
- Did you like or do you like high school? Not really, but it was over quickly.
- What is the most beautiful language? I don't really think any language is intrinsically more beautiful than another. I love the English language, but that's my own native tongue. I love Shakespeare. I love fun/weird things like "a bare-assed hunter shot a bear and asserted his right to bear arms..."
- When you are asleep do you like being kissed awake? Ick! Morning breath!
- Do you like sunrises or sunsets the most? Sunrises, because I don't see them as often as sunsets.
- Do you want to live to be 100? If I'm not senile...
- Do you think women should be expected to shave their body hair? No. People should do what they want. Personally, I shave my legs and pits, but I think shaving the "bikini area" is gross. It itches and looks silly.
- Do you like salty food or sugary food the most? Salty.
- Is a flat stomach important to you? Nah.
- Do you or have you played with a ouija board? I have. I have one on my wall but I lost the thing you put your fingers on.
- Are you loyal? I guess so.
- Are you tolerant of other people's beliefs? I try to be but sometimes I'm a bossy betty...
- When you watch movies at home, do you like the lights on or off? I like a little light, but I turn off any lamps that would shine on the tv.
- Do you believe in magic? Like Harry Potter magic? Nah.
- Do you have nightmares frequently? Yep.
- Do you like your nose? Not especially.
- Do you like abstract art? Yes.
- Do you think you can draw well? Not especially.
- Do you listen to music daily? Yes.
- Do you like to watch cartoons? Sometimes, it depends.
- At what age did you find out that Santa Claus wasn't real? I don't remember the exact moment, but I do know that I knew long before my parents told me anything so for awhile we all just pretended.
- How many pairs of shoes do have in your closet? hmm. Maybe five or six?
- Do you like to wear the same shoes everyday or do you like a variety? It depends on the weather.
- Do you write poetry? I've been known to occasionally...
- Do you snore? I've been told I don't.
- Do you sleep more on your back, front, or sides? I toss and turn.
- Would you rather have a poodle or a rottweiler? Rottweiler. Poodles are freaky.
- Do you lick stamps? No, I usually buy the sticker kind. Do they even make the licking kind anymore?
- Do you use an electric can opener? No.
- Have you ridden in a hot air balloon? No.
- Which hurts the most, physical or emotional pain? Emotional. At least you know there's an end eventually with physical pain.
- Do you think balding men should shave their heads? Not just because they're balding. I think the shaved head look only works for about 10% of the men who actually shave their heads.
- Do you know anyone who is clinically depressed? Yes.
- Do you prefer a piano or a violin? Violin.
- Are you a sex addict? Nah.
- Do you know someone who has cancer? Yes. A couple people actually.
- Do you hunt? No. I think unless you actually, truly need to hunt for your own food, like you have NO other way of obtaining sustenance, then hunting is a pointless exercise.
- Do you like fast food joints, or expensive restaurants? I'm lucky enough to live in a town with lots of vegetarian places. I love the vegan Thai place near campus, the kosher-vegan Chinese place near where my sister gave birth, the Indian (loads of vegetarian and vegan dishes) place down the street from my apt. None of them are really fancy expensive places though...
- Would you rather visit a zoo or an art museum? Museum. Zoos are depressing.
- Do you have a middle name? Yes.
- Are you basically a happy person? I guess.
- Are you tired? Yep.
- Did you drink anything with caffeine in it today? No. Normally I have a couple of cups of black or green tea every day but caffeine makes my cramps worse so I don't consume it when it's "that time of the month."
- Have you ever met anyone off the internet? Not in person. I've talked on the phone.
- How many phones do you have in your house? One.
- How long is your hair? Medium length.
- Do you get along with your parents? I guess so, better than when I was living with them, that's for sure!
- What color of eyes do you prefer? When I was in high school I wanted dark brown eyes because I thought mine were too light and didn't stand out enough. In other people, I don't have a preference.
- Are you an active person? Not really. I wish I was more active...
- What medications do you take? Nothing at the moment.
- What does your bedroom look like? Ah, basic? There's a bed and a dresser, two book cases, my computer (I put a dining table in the living room and there isn't room for both out there!), a lamp, pink Hello Kitty curtains, a cheesy tapestry with an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe on it, an Antiques Roadshow calendar, bras hanging on the doorknob, an endtable with books on it, a clock radio... I guess that's about it.
